Whether you aspire to play the Blues, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Country, or Gospel, Maryville’s dedicated guitar instructors will help you become the guitarist you want to be. Our faculty will introduce you to the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory, and incorporate your favorite songs into your lessons. You need a guitar at home to take lessons; a simple guitar will suffice for the first six months. If you do not have one, we can help you find an appropriate instrument to get you started.

Are there guitar recitals?
Absolutely! Every year our students have the opportunity to perform. Unlike most of our competitors, we do not charge students a fee to perform. And admission is free, so you can invite all of your family and friends.
At each recital, we give our students the red carpet treatment with photo opportunities in front of our academy repeating background and an actual red carpet runway.
